American Line Dancing

Line Dancing is for fun and for exercise -  open to all ages that enjoy dancing!  Get lively, move with confidence, and stay fit while having fun with or without a partner.  Learn the various forms of American Line Dancing e.g. slide, country line, flowing waltz, boogie, cha-cha, tango, rumba, foxtrot, salsa shuffle, mambo, samba, shimmy, bachata, jive and more!  You will be surprised with the music variety we dance to.

American Line Dancing by LDVALI

Line Dancing is for fun and for exercise – open to all ages that enjoy dancing!  Get lively, move with confidence, and stay fit while having fun with or without a partner.  LDVALI uses a unique program and methodology that help students of various skill levels learn and grow together while having fun exercising via the low-impact approach.  Learn the various forms of line dancing from country slides and vines, flowing waltz, to ballroom favorites like boogie, swing, cha-cha, tango, rumba, foxtrot, salsa, mambo, samba, bossanova, bachata, night club 2-steps, jitterbug, and more!  The music variety we use in classes are even more surprising and inspiring, from the timeless era of the roaring 20's and big band sounds of the 40's & 50's to the present pop rock-hip hop club hits! 

 

Guaranteed you will learn the basics and beyond – no matter which class you sign up for!  

 

1. Progressive series: LDVALI teaches and guides the students progressively – from the beginner Level 0, to improver Level 1-1.5, and finally to the Level 2 intermediate phase by using slow-medium-fast type of music and/or varying music rhythm applications – successfully tested and proven to be an effective method for the past 10 years!

 

2. Beginner series (Level 1): This program is for students who are new to line dancing or who would like to just enjoy easy-to-learn line dance selections, typically 32-steps or shorter.

 

3. Intermediate series (Level 2): This program (aka workshops) is for students who are beyond beginner and improver levels and who would like to learn more complicated or sophisticated selections and patterns, typically 48-64 steps or longer.

 

4. Music & rhythm series (Level 0/-1): This program offers simple and slow dance routines that involve minimal or no turns. It is for those using walkers and wheelchairs with emphasis on hand motions, foot tapping and modified steps. It is low-impact exercise with mental and physical coordination as students learn various steps to music they love to listen to and sing-along with.
